I Can Read

 
Look at my book, see it's called "War and Peace." 
I just took it off of the shelf. 
It's the heaviest book that the library had 
and I'm reading it all by myself. 
 
I'm reading this book, and without any help. 
I've sounded each word out with pride. 
It all goes to show, that you just never know 
what you can do till you've tried. 
 
I've been reading this book at a world record pace. 
I'm now on page two-thousand-three, 
but I'm stuck on this word, the first word I can't read: 
a small word that's spelled T-H-E.
