We snowshoe Little Moose several times each winter. It is a favorite. I love seeing the trees all laced with snow. I had to control myself because I wanted to take photos every 10 feet! Seriously, it was just incredible. The sun was shining. The only negative was that there was a little wind in places. The sun was shining on the wet icicles making them sparkle! It was pretty from afar, but absolutely stunning up close. Very specific weather conditions have to occur for hoarfrost to form. I am not a meteorologist, so I will not attempt to explain it. There only a couple spots out in the open that with the sun shining on them that were soft, wet, slushy snow.
